Energy Performance Certificates

The law now dictates that anyone looking to market a property for sale needs to present the buying public with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

An EPC exists to give buyers an indication of the energy efficiency and emissions of the property. This is now a much simpler requirement than the previous HIPs and whilst the cost can seem unnecessary, the increased focus on energy efficiency can only be applauded.

We are required to illustrate that an EPC has been commissioned prior to offering a property to the market; the EPC must be available within 28 days of the property initially being marketed.

We are able to commission EPC certificates on your behalf and are more than happy to discuss these further with you.
